Science 10 — British Columbia

A complete self-directed BC Science 10 review candidate covering scientific inquiry, DNA/inheritance/diversity and applied genetics, chemical processes, nuclear radiation and energy transformations, and Big Bang cosmology with astronomical evidence. Includes original diagrams, safe investigations, simulated datasets, repair sets, cumulative retrieval, mastery assessments, source protocols, and standards traceability.

What learners can expect

  1. Plan, conduct, analyze, evaluate, and communicate Grade 10 investigations using reliable data, multiple hypotheses, quantitative models, uncertainty, ethics, source skepticism, and place context.
  2. Explain DNA structure/function, gene expression, inheritance patterns, mutation, natural/artificial selection, applied genetics, and ethical implications.
  3. Represent atom rearrangement, classify and balance reactions, reason about acids/bases and conservation of mass, model reaction energy, and evaluate practical chemical processes safely.
  4. Compare fission/fusion and radiation, apply conservation of energy with potential, kinetic, efficiency, and thermal-energy equations, and evaluate technology impacts.
  5. Explain the Big Bang model and evaluate it with multiple astronomical data streams, including CMB, redshift, wavelength-specific instruments, and observational technologies.
