What learners can expect

  1. Plan, conduct, analyze, evaluate, and communicate Grade 9 investigations using reliable data, multiple hypotheses, model limitations, ethics, and source skepticism.
  2. Explain cell continuity through mitosis/asexual reproduction and contrast it with meiosis, fertilization, and genetic variation in sexual reproduction.
  3. Use atomic number, periodic patterns, and electron arrangement to explain ion formation and simple ionic/covalent names and formulas.
  4. Explain complete circuits, series/parallel topology, AC/DC, voltage/current/resistance, Ohm’s law, and electrical safety.
  5. Trace solar energy and matter through interacting Earth spheres and evaluate cycles, human impacts, biomagnification, sustainability, and authentic First Peoples interconnectedness perspectives.
